Boost Performance Racing was founded in 2016 by Stefan Lindeque.  The company focused on the growth and development of the Inflatable Powerboat sport by organizing events where teams had a platform to compete and showcase their talent.  As Inflatable Powerboat racing is not a mainstream sport, it was imperative to increase the number of events available to competitors and professionalize the sport in order to grow it.


Our vision is to grow the Inflatable Powerboat sport through the assistance of funding by companies and big name sponsors.  With sufficient funding, we are able to organize professional events not only in Cape Town but also other parts of South Africa that will attract competitors and spectators nationwide.  We already have a massive following of spectators who travel between Plettenberg Bay and Cape Town every December to attend our annual Six Gun Grill Trans Agulhas Inflatable Boat Challenge.  This race has been on the racing calendar for the last 35 years and has started attracting international competitors.  Our vision is to continue to grow the sport and invite international competitors to participate.  This will boost the sport as well as economic growth in our country through the tourism that our events will attract.

It is also our vision to mentor the “rookies” of the sport and assist them with training.  We would like to leave a legacy of mentorship for the next generation to ensure sustainability of a sport we are incredibly passionate about.  This includes development racers.

Inflatable Powerboat racing is not for the faint hearted!  It involves a combination of fitness, skill and knowledge of your boat and engine.  The target market for this sport is the individual who has a passion for extreme sports and enjoys high paced, adrenaline-fueled action.  As you can imagine, this makes for very exciting spectatorship.
